The True Israel
Many false preachers are teaching that the laws of God be it moral law (10 commandments) or physical law (laws of health) are only given for the Israelites or the Jewish nation and we, as they call gentiles have nothing to do with these laws since we are not Israel or we not part of the Jewish nation. In short, they preach that the 10 commandments and the laws of health are not for us but only for the Jews or Israelites.
ISRAEL = new literal name of Jacob, the son of Isaac who was the son of Abraham
What was one characteristic of Abraham?
Genesis 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

ISRAEL = the name for God’s chosen people or the children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
Genesis 32:28, where it says, "…Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed."
Jacob had 12 sons and they grew and multiplied like the sands of the sea.
Genesis 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which [is] upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
This was the beginning of the nation Israel which was composed of Jacob’s 12 sons and their families. This nation was promised of a Messiah to come.
Genesis 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him [shall] the gathering of the people [be].
Shiloh is Jesus. But when Jesus came, His chosen nation rejected Him. Their fruits shew they have denied their Saviour.
So when the literal nation Israel rejected the Messiah, what happened next?
Matthew 21:43 “The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.”
Acts 13:46 “…It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.”
Who were the gentiles?
In Hosea 2:23 “…I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.”
Gentiles = people who were not part of the physical nation Israel. They were not God’s chosen people
Since the literal nation Israel is no longer God’s chosen people, who is the true Israel today who took their place as God’s chosen people?
Romans 2:28,29 we learn that, “…he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.“
The true Jew or Israel is the one who is by heart or spirit loves God and keeps His commandments. John 14:15. A literal Jew who does not love God but rejects Him is not a true Jew or Israel. Proof is found in…
Romans 9:6-8 “…they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.”
The literal Israelites who reject Christ are not God’s children even though they come from the literal family of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Their bloodline does not count them as Israel because they rejected Christ.
In Romans 9:8 it says “the children of the promise are counted for the seed,” Who are these children of the promise?
Galatians 3:29 says that “if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
Those who are in Christ’s are the children of the promise, in short, you are an Israelite by Spirit therefore you are God’s chosen people.
Is it true that even if you are a gentile by blood, you will qualify to receive the promise given to Abraham?
Galatians 3:14 says, "That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
Galatians 3:26-29 says, "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”
Galatians 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
So if you believe in Jesus Christ and show forth fruits corresponding to your profession then you are a chosen child of God. Therefore you are Abraham’s seed, the true Israelite.
If you are an Israelite then the 10 commandments and the physical law of God are for you.
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
The law of God is for those who are His children. If you are not a child of God then you will not obey Him but will transgress His law and become the child of Satan. That is why you can see the professed Christian world professing to be God’s chosen people yet they do not obey His law. They only have faith but their faith is dead because it lacks corresponding works.
James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
