Doubting
Thomas
John 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first [day] of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you. 20:20 And when he had so said, he showed unto them [his] hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. 20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: [then] came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace [be] unto you. 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust [it] into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed.

Thomas' policy was to see is to believe yet faith is something that you cannot see. This evil trait of unbelief must be removed from a true Christian's life. Thomas also didt not believe what his brethren said to him regarding how they have seen the Saviour.

Peter
Matthew 14:28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 14:29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth [his] hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

When you doubt – you start to sink
Jesus helps when you sink but only if you ask Him

It’s not just God’s people are tested of doubt. Also, the unbelievers doubt a lot.

John 10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

The Jews who didn’t believe Jesus were unbelievers and were the ones to doubt yet they accuse Jesus as the cause of their doubt.

Why will they blame Jesus as the cause of their doubt? It’s because they reject Him. They had no faith. All they can do is accuse or blame him instead of blaming themselves for their unbelief.

Doubting people cast blames to others instead of looking at themselves and what they are not doing

Doubting hinders prayers to be answered
James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
1:8 A double minded man [is] unstable in all his ways.

Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this [which is done] to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Faith moves mountains. Doubt builds up more mountains

doubting about what to do with your life
1. you are afraid to make mistakes
Psalms 37 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
²³ The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
²⁴ Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

2. you are confused about yourself

3. you are not ready to face the mountain

Deuteronomy 31:6 (KJV)
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

4. you lack faith

Matthew 14 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
²⁸ And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
²⁹ And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
³⁰ But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
³¹ And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

What do you need to do if you are doubting?
Proverbs 3 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
⁵ Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
⁶ In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Laziness
Proverbs 6:6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
6:7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
6:8 Provideth her meat in the summer, [and] gathereth her food in the harvest.
6:9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
6:10 [Yet] a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
6:11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

Sluggard
atsel – (aw-tsale)
indolent, slothful

Sluggard loves to sleep even when it’s not time to sleep
Proverbs 26:14 [As] the door turneth upon his hinges, so [doth] the slothful upon his bed.
They just roll on their bed like hinges of the doors.

sleeping outside the hours of sleep is wasting time and is robbery against God
Laziness makes the body grow old, why? If you don’t exercise the body by working, the body will naturally slow down training itself to slowly age and die.

Also notice the ants do not have a leader, guide or ruler yet they work. A lazy person need a ruler or a guide or someone to direct him on what to do. He cannot work unless being told

A lazy person also does not prepare for the future. They do not understand how to store provisions in times of calamities or emergency.

Laziness finds all excuses not to work:
Proverbs 19:24 A slothful [man] hideth his hand in [his] bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again. 21:25 The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.

Proverbs 20:4 The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; [therefore] shall he beg in harvest, and [have] nothing.

Proverbs 22:13 The slothful [man] saith, [There is] a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.
Explain the verse. Show how the rich countries work amidst snow and storm.

Proverbs 15:19 The way of the slothful [man is] as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous [is] made plain.
The sluggard always finds difficulties on their way that is why they say they cannot do this and that. They always find excuses as to why they cannot work.

Some people are afraid to work under the sun because they will get dark

Those who refuse to repent from laziness think that they are okay.
Proverbs 26:16 The sluggard [is] wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.

But no matter how wise they think of themselves, their end result speaks that they are in denial of their true condition.

Sluggardness results to:
Proverbs 13:4 The soul of the sluggard desireth, and [hath] nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

Proverbs 6:11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
Proverbs 24:30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; 24:31And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, [and] nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.

The life if a sluggard will be taken over by trials and difficulties and they will be drown with it and their life is like broken walls.

Matthew 25:18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. 25:24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strowed:
25:25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, [there] thou hast [that is] thine.
25:26 His lord answered and said unto him, [Thou] wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strowed:

a lazy person is also afraid and then become wicked
look at those people who end up in jail due to robbery etc. They refuse to work the decent work but choose the wicked way to earn money and then they end up in trouble.

Lazy people keep asking for money without working for it
laziness leads to stealing as well
laziness leads to scamming
physical laziness leads to spiritual laziness just like the slothful servant

laziness results to unclean homes and surroundings

lazy person cannot finish his tasks and duties and their work piles up and become impossible to finish

lazy persons are unproductive, much time wasted doing nothing

lazy to follow God
lazy to overcome evil traits
Lazy to prepare for heaven

Lodicean sluggard syndrome
They wait to proclaim the loud cry message for the reason that the latter has not fallen yet
They wait to be teletransported to go to other places
They are afraid of the weapons forming against them
They wait for signs and miracles as if these signs will be given to themselves
They are not sluggard to think evil and condemn others but they are sluggard to do what is good.
They want to hide the loud cry message thus delaying Sunday laws
Foolish virgins hiding their hands and waiting for something to happen
When crisis comes, they expect to make it
no latter rain = lazy, no motivation, cannot understand calling
They rely on other books and sluggard to read the Bible yet claim they are Bereans

Why do they act and feel like this?
Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

God calls us to get rid of laziness:
1. multiply the talents
2. not slothful with our duties
Romans 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
3. Dont wait for miracles to happen in order to move and do something
4. Stop robbing God of the hours you spent in sleeping when it is not needed
5. Work and be blessed
1 Corinthians 4:12 And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
Ephesians 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with [his] hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
Psalms 128:1 A Song of degrees. Blessed [is] every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
128:2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy [shalt] thou [be], and [it shall be] well with thee.

1 Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

Yet the foolish virgins and folding hands murmuring about others but cannot see their true sluggish condition.

6. Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Judges 8:9 And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it [is] very good: and [are] ye still? be not slothful to go, [and] to enter to possess the land.
18:10 When ye go, ye shall come unto a people secure, and to a large land: for God hath given it into your hands; a place where [there is] no want of any thing that [is] in the earth.

Murmuring
First murmuring:
Exodus 15:22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. 15:23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they [were] bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. 15:24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

Issue: Water
Location: wilderness of Shur
Complain: the water is bitter
Against: Moses

They forgot that God had parted the Red Sea (water). God can do anything with water.
Why worry about water when God parted the red sea?

Solution:
Exodus 15:25 And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD showed him a tree, [which] when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

Even in their murmuring, the problem was solved.

Second murmuring:
Exodus 16:1 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which [is] between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.
16:2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:
16:3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, [and] when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

Issue: Food
Location: Wilderness of Sin
Accusing: Moses and Aaron would want them all killed with hunger.
Against: Moses and Aaron

We can see how murmuring leads to accusing to not just Moses but now with Aaron.

Solution:
Exodus 16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

Even in their murmuring, still God answered the problem.

Third Murmuring:
Exodus 17:1 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and [there was] no water for the people to drink.
17:2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?
17:3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore [is] this [that] thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
17:4 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

Issue: no water for people to drink
Location: Rephidim
Against: Moses

Accusing: that Moses would kill them, their children and cattle with thirst

From accusing that Moses would kill them with hunger, now with thirst.

chide – grapple, wrestle,
They were ready to stone (kill) Moses.
They rather kill the servant of God than remember the other 2 incidents where they murmured yet their problems were solved.

They also tempted the Lord.
Exodus 17:7 And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

If the Lord was not with them, He should have not delivered them out of Egypt.
If the Lord was not with them, He should have not parted the Red Sea.
If the Lord was not with them, He should have not given them free water and food in the wilderness in their journeying.

Solution:
Exodus 17:5 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.
17:6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

The rod: that brought many miracles even before they were still in Egypt.
Exodus 4:17 And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.

It was also a rod that was used when God parted the red sea.
They still forgot the token of God’s deliverance against the armies of Pharaoh.

Fourth murmuring:
Numbers 14:1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
14:2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
14:3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?

Issue: They were scared to move forward to conquer Canaan, so, they murmured and thought that God would want them dead.

From murmuring and accusing against Moses, to Moses and Aaron, then now against God.

Their plan to return to Egypt as the solution:
Numbers 14:4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

5th murmuring:
Numbers 16:30 But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that [appertain] unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.
16:31 And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that [was] under them:
16:32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that [appertained] unto Korah, and all [their] goods.
16:33 They, and all that [appertained] to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. 16:41 But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.

Issue: The congregation believed that Korah, Dathan and Abiram and all that sympathized with them were the people of the Lord but were all killed.

Those 3 and their sympathizers were not God’s people
They rose up against Moses accusing him of kingly power. V3, 13
They questioned God’s servant and murmur against Aaron. V 11
They wanted to take the office of priesthood. V 9-10
Murmurers need sympathizers and play politics. V 19
They murmur against God’s judgment.

Lessons for us:
You cannot murmur against God’s leading and judgment against unrepentant sinners.
do not sympathize with evil surmisers
Do your assigned job and do not covet other’s duties and responsibilities.

How many times did the Israelites tempted God?
Numbers 14:22 Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;

The Consequence:
Numbers 14:23 Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it: 14:29 Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,
14:30 Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, [concerning] which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
14:31 But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised.
14:32 But [as for] you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness. 14:35 I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.

Every murmuring and complaining has a consequence.
Canaan = represents the Heavenly Kingdom

Murmurers and complainers cannot inherit the kingdom of God.

Murmurers are evil people:
Number 14:27 How long [shall I bear with] this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.

Who caused the congregation to murmur?
Numbers 14:36 And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,

The evil reporters (10 spies) caused the congregation to murmur.
It is evil to deliver evil reports for it will cause others to sin.
You become a stumblingblock.

What did God say for those who become stumblingblocks?
Matthew 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Murmurers tend to believe evil reporters.
Murmurers become accusers and backbiters.

Other Examples of Murmurers:
Matthew 20:8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them [their] hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
20:9 And when they came that [were hired] about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.
20:10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.
20:11 And when they had received [it], they murmured against the goodman of the house,
20:12 Saying, These last have wrought [but] one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

Matthew 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

If you are new in the truth, or been there for a long time, the reward is just one.
It’s like these labourers were jealous.
Stop complaining
Dont compare your blessings with others.
Be content.
Be happy of the blessings of others.

Fearful || Afraid || Scared

1. Soldiers of Gideon:

Judges 7:3 Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever [is] fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand.

Why were they afraid of the Midianites?

Judges 6:3 And [so] it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them; 6:4 And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass. 6:5 For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; [for] both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it. 6:6 And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.

2. Disciples:
Matthew 8:23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
8:24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
8:25 And his disciples came to [him], and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
8:27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

Luke 4:40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
4:41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

Fearful Servant who received one talent:
Matthew 25:24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strowed: 25:25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, [there] thou hast [that is] thine.

Fearful is also called what?
Matthew 25:26 His lord answered and said unto him, [Thou] wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strowed:
25:27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and [then] at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
25:28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give [it] unto him which hath ten talents.
25:29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Final fulfillment of outer darkness:
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

4. Last Days Christians:
Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more [clothe] you, O ye of little faith?
6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.

There is no need to fear because God can supply if we obey Him:
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Fear of:
Persecution from family members:
Fear to follow God because you will be persecuted by your own family members:
Matthew 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

If they disown you:
Psalms 27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

God’s promises:
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he [it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Persecution [NO buy and sell || Death Decree :
Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead [you], and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

Mark 13:12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against [their] parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
13:13 And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

John 16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

1 Thess 3:1 Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;
3:2 And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:
3:3 That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.
3:4 For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

Fear leads to unbelief:
Acts 9:26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.

Isaiah 35:4 Say to them [that are] of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come [with] vengeance, [even] God [with] a recompense; he will come and save you.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Why we should not fear:
Luke 21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am [Christ]; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
21:9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end [is] not by and by.
21:10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
21:12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute [you], delivering [you] up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
21:13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

During Sunday law:

Romans 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Bitterness || Anger || Hatred || Wrath

Saul
1 Samuel 18:6 And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of music. 18:7 And the women answered [one another] as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands. 18:8 And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed [but] thousands: and [what] can he have more but the kingdom? 18:9 And Saul eyed David from that day and forward.

Bitter people are usually afraid of the one they hated so much:
1 Samuel 18:28 And Saul saw and knew that the LORD [was] with David, and [that] Michal Saul's daughter loved him. 18:29 And Saul was yet the more afraid of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually.

Those people who are hated are usually the ones successful:
1 Samuel 19:8 And there was war again: and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled from him.

Pharisees and Jews Against Jesus
John 5:16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

Pharisees and Jews Against Paul:
Acts 9:20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. 9:21 But all that heard [him] were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests? 9:22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ. 9:23 And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him: 9:24 But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.

Proverbs 4:14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil [men]. 4:15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. 4:16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause [some] to fall. 4:17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

Another incident:
Acts 21:30 And all the city was moved, and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and drew him out of the temple: and forthwith the doors were shut. 21:31 And as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar. 21:32 Who immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down unto them: and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they left beating of Paul.

Another incident:
Acts 25:1 Now when Festus was come into the province, after three days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem. 25:2 Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him, 25:3 And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him. 25:4 But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly [thither]. 25:5 Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with [me], and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him. 25:6 And when he had tarried among them more than ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the judgment seat commanded Paul to be brought. 25:7 And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.

Bitter people treat those they hated as enemies:
1 Samuel 19:17 And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee?

Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you. 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

The worldly and the professed Christians Hating or Being Bitter against other people

Psalms 64:3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, [and] bend [their bows to shoot] their arrows, [even] bitter words: 64:4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. 64:5 They encourage themselves [in] an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them? 64:6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward [thought] of every one [of them], and the heart, [is] deep. 64:7 But God shall shoot at them [with] an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. 64:8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

What to do with those who are bitter or hateful towards you?

1. Jesus
John 7:1 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.

2. David
1 Samuel 19:1 And Saul spake to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David. 19:2 But Jonathan Saul's son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret [place], and hide thyself: 19:10 And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin; but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night. 19:11 Saul also sent messengers unto David's house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David's wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain. 19:12 So Michal let David down through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.

David did not revenge:
1 Samuel 24:5 And it came to pass afterward, that David's heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul's skirt. 24:6 And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD'S anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he [is] the anointed of the LORD.

Exodus 14:14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

If this happens within the church, God commands:
Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 3:10 And have put on the new [man], which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Psalms 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

Compromise || Unequally Yoked || Ecumenism

INTERMIXING (Ecumenical) WITH Those who know the truth yet twisted it to make it a lie

Prov 24:21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: [and] meddle not with them that are given to change: 24:22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?

meddle – H6148
arab -(aw-rab)
intermix, barter, engage, mingle self

change – H8138
shanah – duplicate, transmute, pervert,

God gave them the truth yet they choose to pervert it to suit their own lust to deceive.

Example:

Jacob’s time of trouble is a bitter cup that the saints have to drink to prove themselves worthy to be sealed
They put it during the time when the saints have already passed all their tests

the 7 last plagues will make those who receive the mark suffer mentally and physically for one year
they make you believe the saints will suffer mental anguish during the 6th plague
they make it appear that the plagues will also mentally torture the saints

More evils:
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed [it] unto them. 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

God said these people who know the truth yet wilfully turn their truth away to live a perverted life, we should turn away from them and not meddle or intermix with them

Constant beholding you become change

Why is it that there is no need to intermix with them?
The verse says they already have the knowledge of God, therefore they are not ignorant like those who do not know the truth.

Those who don’t know the truth yet, we have to converse and present them the knowledge about our God. But if they choose to refuse to walk in it, the same principle applies, to not to meddle or busybody with their lives.

Solomon intermixing with heathen wives:
1 Kings 11:1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, [and] Hittites; 11:2 Of the nations [concerning] which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: [for] surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. 11:3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. 11:4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, [that] his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as [was] the heart of David his father. 11:5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. 11:6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as [did] David his father. 11:7 Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that [is] before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon. 11:8 And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods. 11:9 And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,

Ahab
1 Kings 16:29 And in the thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel: and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty and two years. 16:30 And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD above all that [were] before him. 16:31 And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him. 16:32 And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. 16:33 And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.

1 Kings 21:25 But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. 21:26 And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all [things] as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

What does it mean to not intermix with these people who turn truth into righteousness?

1. Do not sit and listen and be part of their congregation or gathering

God said, Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you, 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Christians are not to be ecumenical. You only reach out to people to tell them the truth but not to sit down at their gatherings to listen to their false teachings.
Christians are not to sign up or become members to these fallen churches
To be separate from their congregation means that you will not become partakers of their apostasy.

2. Do not partake with the activities of fallen churches (like, share or subscribe to their social media pages/channels)
IF you have sharing or liking posts from Laodicean churches, it just means that you are agreeing with them even if you are not
Even if the post is truthful, yet there are still other things from that church that is false
Truth mix with error is deception.

Give example:
An sda preacher or member is posting stuff about the Sabbath and you click like and share their post since it is truthful.
By sharing their posts, your friends will have the access to click on their profiles or pages and be able to see their other stuff therefore, giving them a chance to be deceived.
You become like their agent in order to promote their preachings.

A very clear command for all followers of truth:
2 John 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into [your] house, neither bid him God speed: 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

If we are even forbidden to welcome these false preachers in our homes, how much more to partake in their activities or affairs online and offline?

3 Do not use fake Bible versions

Example: NIV, NKJV, NLT etc

What is the end result for these people who changed the truth into a lie by creating new versions of the Scripture:

Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.

What are other ways that a Christian should avoid being intermixed or unequally yoked with unbelievers:

1. Do not partake in their gatherings like their reunions, parties, anniversaries, fiesta, any pagan celebrations,

Psalms 1:1 Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

After you tell them the truth, there is no more ministry left for them when you attend their pleasures and celebrations.
Jesus only intermix when He was preaching. After preaching, He left the crowd.
The disciples also followed the same example. They mingle with the crowd only to preach the truth or to be a light, but when they refuse and reject, they move on and left.

Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

2. Do not get involved in the affairs of other people unless they need your help.

1 Peter 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or [as] a thief, or [as] an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

Do not criticize them or backbite them when you dont like their personal choices in life.
Do not decide for other people’s choices. It is okay to give advises when needed.
Allow others to handle their own affairs so that they will learn to stand on their own.

3 Do not marry unbelievers or business partners with unbelievers

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

Genesis 24:3 And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell: 24:4 But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.

4. Do not believe reports and stories passed to you about someone be it believer or unbelievers

When you automatically believe a report without validating it’s truthfulness is like accepting a teaching without comparing with Scripture if its true or not. When you believe a report without validating it, it’s like you sympathize right away with the reporter.

Proverbs 26:20 Where no wood is, [there] the fire goeth out: so where [there is] no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.

When others stop listening and getting involved or intermixing with false reporters, they will find other things to do in life. While there are people who will entertain them, they will continue to look for ears where they can pass their stories and reports. If the report is a lie and you believe it, you become a liar yourself

5. Getting yourself involved with things and pleasure that are not for Christians.

Achan
Joshua 7:1 But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.

What is this accursed thing that Achan took?
Joshua 7:21 When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they [are] hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.

Why are these things accursed? And what does it mean?
Joshua 6:17 And the city shall be accursed, [even] it, and all that [are] therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that [are] with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.

6:18 And ye, in any wise keep [yourselves] from the accursed thing, lest ye make [yourselves] accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. 6:19 But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, [are] consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD.

Joshua 7:11 Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put [it] even among their own stuff.

7:12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, [but] turned [their] backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 3:9 Ye [are] cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, [even] this whole nation. 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].

His final end result:
Joshua 7:23 And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the LORD. 7:24 And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor. 7:25 And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.

Judas
John 12:3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. 12:4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's [son], which should betray him, 12:5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? 12:6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Modern day Judas
Lev 27:30 And all the tithe of the land, [whether] of the seed of the land, [or] of the fruit of the tree, [is] the LORD'S: [it is] holy unto the LORD.

Nehe 13:12 Then brought all Judah the tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the treasuries.

Heb 7:5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

Foolish Rich man
Matthew 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19:19 Honour thy father and [thy] mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go [and] sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come [and] follow me. 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. 19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 19:25 When his disciples heard [it], they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

Jesus did not literally mean that he has to live like a homeless man because
1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Matthew 19:24“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”

#2 Parable of the Foolish Rich man
Luke 12:16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 12:17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? 12:18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. 12:19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, [and] be merry. 12:20 But God said unto him, [Thou] fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? 12:21 So [is] he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Ananias and Sapphira
Acts 5:1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, 5:2 And kept back [part] of the price, his wife also being privy [to it], and brought a certain part, and laid [it], at the apostles' feet. 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back [part] of the price of the land? 5:4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. 5:5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. 5:6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried [him] out, and buried [him]. 5:7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. 5:8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. 5:9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband [are] at the door, and shall carry thee out. 5:10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying [her] forth, buried [her] by her husband. 5:11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

When you vow unto the Lord, make sure you fulfill it
Deut 23:21 When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.

Modern-day Christians
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Intemperance (Eating || Dressing || Character)

FOOD

God created man and He knows best regarding what man should eat.

After He created man, He right then laid down the rules as to what they should eat

Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

We can read in Genesis 5 the lifespan of those who just ate fruits and vegetables.

Daniel 1:19 And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king. 1:20 And in all matters of wisdom [and] understanding, that the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians [and] astrologers that [were] in all his realm.

Lev 11:3 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, [and] cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat. 11:4 Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: [as] the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he [is] unclean unto you. 11:23 But all [other] flying creeping things, which have four feet, [shall be] an abomination 11:12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that [shall be] an abomination unto you.

As much as God wants us to covet the best gifts

1 Corinthians 12:31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet show I unto you a more excellent way.

We need to pursue and go after the best and original diet He designed for man to eat in order to gain the best result physically and spiritually.
Even if we pursue the original diet, temperance is still to be practiced.

Example:

eat 2 to 3 times a day, not eat all day or eat every 2 hrs
don’t eat right before bed
Some eat and go to bed rightaway, not a safe or healthy habit, allow the stomach to settle down before sleeping.
pick a regular time to eat and follow it, your stomach will create a clock, you usually go hungry at the same time each day
why do people eat every 2 hours? Because their previous meal was not full enough to sustain them the next meal, therefore, 2 hrs later, they think they are hungry again
This habit of eating more than 3 times a day results to diabetes
They eat a little per meal thinking that by doing so they don’t gain weight but actually they are abusing the digestive organs
Only liquid should enter the stomach in between meals like water or fruit juices.
Also, salt is good but it has to be used moderately.
Too salty food can damage our health as well
Just like honey is good but too much honey is not good

To those who are still struggling to let go of meat eating, pray more and ask God for more power to overcome this and to be able to pursue His original design for man,
There is nothing impossible with God.

Remember, there is a difference between those who are struggling to let go versus those who are lusting and indulging to eat meat. God only knows the desires of the heart. We cannot judge you or condemned like other churches claim that you will go to hell if you don’t let go of the clean meat. The work of condemnation is God’s and not ours. He will reveal His judgment when probation closes.

The examples of old Israel show us how they rather choose to indulge in their LUST for meat and other things they abundantly enjoyed in Egypt than being content and happy and be full eating the free bread “manna” from heaven. Their indulgence in their lust was the reason why they were destroyed.

Temperance in Character

Husbands and Wife -

Need to be temperate with each other. Handle differences without causing one to sin.

1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with [them] according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Ephesians 5:33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife [see] that she reverence [her] husband.

Do not use verbal or physical force to settle matters.
Verbal or physical force only makes the matter worse

If the spouse is hurt by verbal or physical force, Christ is also hurt for He created the man and the woman

Do not let the sun go down without reconcilation

Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.

This is a commandment and must be followed.
violation of this is a sin

What makes husband wife relationship a blessing is because the stronger in one are should lift the weaker in that particular area

Do not make each other’s weaknesses worse.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 Two [are] better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 4:10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him [that is] alone when he falleth; for [he hath] not another to help him up.
When one is upset, the other spouse must not get upset also or both will burn in their lust to of angry
Both need to learn how to handle emotions as well and be temperate and control emotions
Not because you are married you can just say what you want to say and not suffer the consequences of your words or actions toward your spouse
It is best to only talk when the emotions are already calm.
There is nothing good that will come from the mouth of the spouse that is very upset.
That is why in the world you can see many divorce and separation because both the spouse do not know how to settle their arguments biblical way.

Remember, Marriage is a blessing to bring souls to heaven.

You can be an instrument to help someone make it to heaven by being his or her spouse

Many worry about getting married because they think they cannot handle their spouse’s weaknesses but if they only remember that marriage is a ministry to bring souls to Christ, they will put away their fears and worries but press forward to a helper or a helpmeet to someone in a marriage relationship.

Love conquers all kinds of negative emotions and feelings like worry, fears, anxiety etc

1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Husbands and wife must reflect the Christian principles even if both have different kinds of weaknesses and issues.

Also, remember, the children are looking and watching at the parent’s demeanor in how they handle their differences.

There is always a solution to each problem or weaknesses, because..

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].

Also, man should not dominate over the woman as if the woman is lower or is inferior to him
remember, the woman is the missing piece of man’s life
If you abuse the missing piece, you abuse what God gave you
Remember, the wife is one flesh with you bought with a price by the blood of God

What does the body feel if one member is sick?

1 Corinthians 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many. 12:15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 12:16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 12:17 If the whole body [were] an eye, where [were] the hearing? If the whole [were] hearing, where [were] the smelling? 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. 12:19 And if they were all one member, where [were] the body? 12:20 But now [are they] many members, yet but one body. 12:21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 12:22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: 12:23 And those [members] of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely [parts] have more abundant comeliness. 12:24 For our comely [parts] have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that [part] which lacked: 12:25 That there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another.

Therefore, husband and wife MUST exercise temperance in all things. Evil traits of intemperance must be overcome before it’s too late.

Brethren

How can the brethren exercise temperance with each other?

When there are offenses and arguments.

Use matthew 18 to settle personal matters

Matthew 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 18:16 But if he will not hear [thee, then] take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 18:17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell [it] unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican. 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Something very important is mentioned in these verses. The word "tell". There is a direction that God has said. It is to tell or talk to the person involved. Do not go to other people not involved in the issue because this will result to gossip

When someone tells you something about someone but you are not involved in the situation, tell him do not tell me the story rather go to the person first, if he does not listen then you come and ask my help.

Love your brethren and do not use verbal or physical abuse
Dont post in social media your anger or your brother’s faults against you

To those who are not in the faith, how will you handle them in the issue of temperance if they do evil to you?

Proverbs 4:14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil [men]. 4:15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. 4:16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause [some] to fall.

Here it is clear, the best thing to do to them is not to revenge but to avoid them
Do not find a way to have an encounter that will encourage them to get upset again at you
Avoid situation that will provoke them to anger
If unbelievers post you to social media, do not revenge and post back what they did to you

If others want to put you to shame on social media, remember, what they do to you will come back right at them, even double, triple,

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

How about those family by blood yet are angry or upset at you because you don’t agree with their principles?

Same principle applies, if they are upset at you for the truth sake, be blessed and trust that God will handle the matter
Dont post what they did to you on social media. These are personal matters and not doctrinal that you have to inform the whole world.
Tell them the truth and if they still reject, Do not unequally yoke with them anymore
It doesn’t matter if they are family by blood. Remember, your true family are those what?
Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother

Dress

The world is governed by Satan therefore intemperance can be seen everywhere
The most common form of intemperance is the manner of dress Satan has introduced to all his followers.

But God has plain said:

1 Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 2:10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
1 Peter 3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward [adorning] of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 3:4 But [let it be] the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, [even the ornament] of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
Women must cloth themselves and not show too much skin like what we can commonly see today
ladies love the mini styles, mini shorts, mini dress, mini skirt, all types of mini
There is no temperance in dressing because they just wear what they want to wear without considering that these types of clothes provoke men to sin and commit adultery in their hearts.
You can see tight fitting clothes being worn in the public, whether you go to the market, mall, terminals, hospitals, everywhere you go intemperance in dress is being seen
temperance also tells us that when it is a hot day or you are in a warm place, do not overdress or put too many layers of clothes
Temperance also tells us that because it is hot that you can just totally remove your clothes and walk around naked and catch everyone’s attention
This is the same way going to swimming places. A Christian should not to these places naked just because it’s a swimming area but still covered appropriately
if you feel very hot, wear thin materials, don’t walk around naked, there are still types of clothes that will cool down your body but not showing nakedness to the public’s eyes
also for the men to walk around just wearing boxers is intemperance and inappropriate
these underwears are called under wears because they are to be worn under another layer of clothes
when your dress does not glorify God, put it away, practice temperance and wear only what covers much of your skin, not fitting showing the curves of the body,
God wants us to cover more and not to cover less

Spiritual Food

One intemperance practice today is the habit of eating toxic bread
People just go everywhere and listen to anyone speaking about the Bible
They don’t examine what Spirit is this.
Just because the preacher is using Bible verse, you have the freedom to continue to listen to them.
First you must test, then if you see an error, do not proceed

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Easiest way to test them is
1. Check if their church is registered with the government
2. Check if the preacher is using other Bible versions
3. Check if the preacher is using other books that are unproven by Scripture
4. Check if the preacher kneels before the public while prayer or if he just stands even when he can kneel
5. Check if his ministry or church is unequally yoked with other fallen churches or with any worldly organizations yoked with the state.
The Bible is our spiritual guide and not other books stained with man’s uninspired words.
There are preachers who claim to have the truth and have written many sermons and websites yet their messages are mixed with error.

2 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

They can preach for a long time, say a lot of nice words but actually they have not come to the knowledge of full truth. They may know partial but the rest are misinterpretation of what they read due to their lack of understanding.
We need to practice temperance and control ourselves from listening to these false preachers
or reading other books that are stained with errors
or watching videos that contain some truth but also mixed with errors whether it is small
Or sharing or liking posts that sound truthful yet are mixed with error or posted by a fallen church

Proud || Boastful || High-Minded

Satan
Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Result:
Isaiah 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 14:19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, [and as] the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.

This result is God’s rule and will never fail.
Those who harbour this trait of proud, boastful and highminded will always experience the same result.
They may repent but there is always consequences.

Remember,
Job 9:2 I know [it is] so of a truth: but how should man be just with God? 9:3 If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand. 9:4 [He is] wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened [himself] against him, and hath prospered?

No one who fought against God has ever prospered, not one.
Fighting against God always results to bankruptcy in spiritual life.

Pharaoh
Israelites were in bondage in Egypt.
God sent Moses and Aaron to deliver them out of the hand of Pharaoh
But pharaoh would not surrender, rather, he hardened his heart thinking that he was the pharaoh and why should he submit to any authority.

Exodus 5:1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. 5:2 And Pharaoh said, Who [is] the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

He thought he was the highest authority
He would not submit to any other man or any being because he thought he was the all powerful superior

God repeatedly gave him chances:
Exodus 10:3 And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.

What happened to him as a result of hardening his heart and refusing to humble himself

Egypt suffered 10 plagues
Pharaoh’s first born son died

Exodus 12:29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that [was] in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. 12:30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for [there was] not a house where [there was] not one dead. 12:31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, [and] get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said. 12:32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

If was until he experienced death of his own son did he finally humbled himself
If he humbled himself right away, his son would have not died

Modern day christians
They try to harden their hearts, refuse to listen to God until a calamity will happen to them
When you hear the voice of God, stop being hardheaded and prideful, rather, humble yourself and follow what He says without delay

Hebrews 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Nebuchadnezzar
He was prosperous and stood mighty because of God but over time, he forgot that there is higher power ruling over him
God prophesied that he will be humbled down through a dream that only Daniel was able to interpret

Daniel 4:24 This [is] the interpretation, O king, and this [is] the decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king: 4:25 That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

When Daniel shew the interpretation, what was the kings reaction?

Daniel 4:30 The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?

Instead of humbling himself, he spoke words showing his pride and being boastful and highminded.
He claimed it was by his power, might and honour that Babylon was built
He cannot accept the fact that there was a higher power above his throne

What was the result:
Daniel 4:31 While the word [was] in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, [saying], O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. 4:32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling [shall be] with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. 4:33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' [feathers], and his nails like birds' [claws].

Did he repent:
Daniel 4:34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion [is] an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom [is] from generation to generation: 4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth [are] reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and [among] the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? 4:36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. 4:37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works [are] truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

Goliath
1 Samuel 17:4 And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height [was] six cubits and a span. 17:5 And [he had] an helmet of brass upon his head, and he [was] armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat [was] five thousand shekels of brass. 17:6 And [he had] greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders. 17:7 And the staff of his spear [was] like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head [weighed] six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him. 17:8 And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set [your] battle in array? [am] not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. 17:9 If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us. 17:10 And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together. 17:24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.

Goliath thought no one could beat him
He thought he was the strongest among men due to his physical features
Goliath was boastful

1 Samuel 17:43 And the Philistine said unto David, [Am] I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. 17:44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.

You can see how Goliath belittled David
But God showed how the proud can be destroyed by humble instrumentality

1 Samuel 17:49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang [it], and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.

The proud was destroyed by the humble
Do not be boastful like Goliath
Some professed Christians belittle other people without considering that God’s favour is with those they have belittled and not with them
God hates the proud and boastful

Pharisee and Scribes -
Luke 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men [are], extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as [his] eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified [rather] than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Scribes
Mark 12:38 And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and [love] salutations in the marketplaces, 12:39 And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts: 12:40 Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation. 12:41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. 12:42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 12:43 And he called [unto him] his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: 12:44 For all [they] did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, [even] all her living.

They love to exalt themselves They boast of their outward work as if their pretentious works can cover the corruption inside their hearts
They love to compare themselves with others

2 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

Modern Day Christians
They look at others’s personal lives and compare with theirs
They say something bad about other people’s lives to make themselves feel better like our former
church. They like to find fault at others without scrutinizing their own evil hearts
They feel boastful about the fact that others are supposed to be sinners unlike them who are supposed to be righteous
They think they can cover their evil hearts with some outward show of good works

They want to be seen doing good works but the inside is full of rotteness

They make themselves appear like learned men
2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1 Corinthians 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 3:20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. 3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

1 Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

They love their titles, degree, certificates and diplomas and academic awards
They love to be called by their titles, doctors, reverend etc, makes them feel respected
They make people respect them through their much words and supposed wise and fluent sayings

Proverbs 14:3 In the mouth of the foolish [is] a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.

Laodiceans
Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

They think they are rich yet they are poor
They think they know yet they cant because they are blind
They pretend to be happy but actually they are miserable
They think they are righteous yet they are actually spiritually naked

Babylon
Revelation 18:7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

Vatican boasts herself of her abundance,
look at the golden throne of the pope and their expensive decorations in their churches
Vatican boasts herself of being superior and the ruler of nations
Vatican boasts herself to see no sorrow

Result:
Revelation 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong [is] the Lord God who judgeth her. 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

Favoritism || Politics || Respecter of Person

1 Corinthians 12:25 That there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another.

1 Cor 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ.

Genesis 29:31 - And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.

Genesis 37:3-4 - 3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours. And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

Deuteronomy 10:17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

Jewish nation
Mark 6:52 For they considered not [the miracle] of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

They favored Barabbas over Jesus
Matthew 27:16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas. 27:17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ? 27:18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him. 27:20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. 27:21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. 27:26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered [him] to be crucified.

They accused Jesus and didn’t favor Him
Mark 15:3 And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.

Rich over the Poor
James 2:1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, [the Lord] of glory, with respect of persons. 2:2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; 2:3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: 2:4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? 2:6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? 2:7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: 2:9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is guilty of all.

Leviticus 19:15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

Modern Day Christians
James 2:9 - But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

to favor an individual that is show partiality

partiality - unfair bias in favor of one thing or person compared with another; favoritism.

Acts 10:34 - Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 2:11 - For there is no respect of persons with God.

2 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. 10:13 But we will not boast of things without [our] measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.

The Father shows no partiality
1 Peter 1:17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning [here] in fear:

The Judgment Seat has no favoritism
Colossians 3:25But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

Ecc 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil.

The basis of judgment is the 10 commandments, no one will be excused

Colossians 3:25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

But what did God say regarding those two classes:
Revelation 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

How about the rich who received the mark:
James 5:1 Go to now, [ye] rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon [you]. 5:2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. 5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

Psalms 139:8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou [art] there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou [art there]. 139:9 [If] I take the wings of the morning, [and] dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; 139:10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. 139:11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. 139:12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light [are] both alike [to thee].

Zeph 1:17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. 1:18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

Numbers 11:4 And the mixed multitude that [was] among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat? 11:5 We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic: 11:6 But now our soul [is] dried away: [there is] nothing at all, beside this manna, [before] our eyes.

Ephesians 4:14 That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, [even] Christ:

Saul

1 Samuel 28:6 And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

1 Samuel 28:7 Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, [there is] a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor. 28:8 And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me [him] up, whom I shall name unto thee. 28:9 And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die? 28:10 And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, [As] the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing. 28:11 Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Revelation 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Matthew 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 12:44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth [it] empty, swept, and garnished. 12:45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last [state] of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
