Ephesians 4:1-3 -I ... beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. It is a sin against heaven for those in the church who profess to be a servant of Christ to cause disunity among brethren through evil means. If the truth is what divides anyone, then we are doing the work we are called to do. The truth will divide the world; the sword of truth.

James 4:8-10 -Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and [your] joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
